Hi, WELCOME, you definitely found this for a reason :)

the point of this course

I want to help you ease the pressure of internet competition. In this day and age, inspiration can quickly turn into comparison and self-doubt. With apps like Instagram, X, and YouTube Shorts, it can be extremely easy to feel discouraged to draw due to not “measuring up.” This can affect your mindset, motivation, and even art style!

I want you to tap back into the core reasons you started drawing. Believe me, I’ve been there. How can something so free-spirited that you love so much become a drag? Become so anxiety-inducing? For some of us, drawing was our first love, and why break up now?! For a lot of us, drawing started to feel like a chore, almost as if you only do it to improve skill, not so much to enjoy the process.

I want you to discover the mediums that you actually enjoy and NOT what you feel pressured to do.

I will help you….

Find an art style that represents who you are , not the status quo

Gain confidence each time you draw

Ease and rewire constant critique fatigue

Be able to finish a piece without hating it, tearing it apart, or constantly criticizing it no matter your skill level.

Feel comfortable with artistic choices without constant validation

Educate you on long term affects of faulty thinking in the arts

and most of all HAVE FUN again.

A New Era in Visual Arts Education

WHY YOU NEED THIS

As someone who’s tried basically everything, had meltdowns in fabrication classes, been told my grades weren’t high enough to be in galleries and festivals, been critiqued to hell over mediums I literally didn’t care about, and watched many of her peers fall off in the arts, I knew it was time for a change in arts education. No matter if you intend to take your skills into a professional setting or enjoy drawing like you did when you were 5, drawing shouldn’t be this complicated, and you were given this gift for a reason. You need a guiding hand and a safe space that can help eliminate those societal pressures of becoming a professional. You don’t have to be a “graphic designer” or “compete with AI” to be a valid artist. You also DON’T need a degree or a natural talent. If you are here, that is already reason enough for why you get to enjoy drawing.

By the end of this course, your perspective on yourself, the way you draw, and the visual art world at large will be changed. You will now have a tool in your toolkit that allows you to break out of traditional narratives and belief systems many visual artists face. You will be ahead of the game in terms of self-expression, belief systems, and finding an art style that not only looks great but also makes you feel confident to post no matter what others may say. You deserve to take your love of drawing to the next level. Your journey in the arts is always being guided, and I am here to help you get to the next step.

I’ve been there, and I’ve done that. The tuition rates, the constant critique fatigue, the pressure to be the best, and the exhausting shape-shifting of your skill in order to fit a mold in the visual arts industry. There’s a lot to learn and a lot of information that you don’t actually need to be successful. Your potential is not limited to an institution or high-ranking arts program, believe me. You deserve the right guidance to get you to the soul of your art, the drive and vision of your future, and the motivation to never stop no matter what is performing well on an algorithm. You don’t have to be best in show or be on a continuous race of internet validation to grow. By taking this course, you are already a step ahead of many visual artists in terms of stylization, branding, and self-exploration. Trust me, with over 10 years of visual arts education behind me, I didn’t find my style and actually enjoy drawing again until my senior thesis. That's right. Senior thesis. Without the work in this course, I would be lost, frustrated, and unmotivated to even continue my passion no matter what degree I had. I learned it wasn’t about pleasing others, follower counts, degrees, or award lists; it’s about you; it’s always about you. This course is designed to get you to the root issues that are keeping you from your own artistic potential, shut them off, work with mediums that actually speak to you, and actually ENJOY art again. No more wondering if your skillset is enough, comparison, or caving into the pressure of public validation. It’s all about you, your voice, and your vision, without the drama.
